How Does Septic Klear Work?
Each Septic Klear tablet contains 75 billion task-specific bacteria that have been chosen specifically to digest and break down the organic matter that builds up in septic tanks between pump outs. Once flushed down the toilet, the bacteria come out of their “dormant” phase and break down any organic matter in the septic tank. Once the bacteria have broken down the matter, the enzymes found in the tablets digest it completely to lower the number of solids in your tank. Furthermore, If used regularly, Septic Klear will reduce smells coming from the septic tank, improve septic tank performance and reduce the need to have the septic tank emptied.
How Does a Septic Tank Work?
Usually located underground, it’s a large plastic/concrete tank that is connected to your drainage system and collects the waste. When the waste enters the tank, it is held long enough for the solids to sink and to the bottom and form sludge. All whilst the oils and grease float to the top to form scum. The wastewater that has now been separated from the solids and oils exits the tank into the drain field. Once the water is in the drain field it percolates through the soil and rocks which act as a filter to remove any harmful bacteria, nutrients or viruses.
Why Is My Septic Tank Backing Up?
There are a few reasons why your septic tank could be backing up. Check your drain field, if the grass around there looks soaked or boggy, it could be a sign that your drain field is too shallow and is being overloaded. If this is dry, it could be that your septic tank is full and needs emptying, this can be costly.
Use Septic Klear as a tank treatment throughout the year. This will keep the aerobic bacteria levels high and enable them to digest the organic matter found in the tank which will reduce the amount your tank needs emptying.
