Filter Feed Tablets are slow-dissolving tablets packed with billions of beneficial bacteria, specifically designed to tackle common pond filter issues. These powerful bacteria work to break down organic waste, sludge, and algae that can clog your filter, ensuring it operates at its best.

In addition to keeping your filter clean, Filter Feed helps eliminate harmful nitrites and ammonia, by-products of fish waste that can lead to ammonia and nitrite poisoning, which can endanger your fish and other aquatic life.

Each tablet lasts up to 4 weeks, releasing beneficial bacteria gradually to maintain optimal filter performance. This extended support not only improves water clarity but also reduces organic waste, promoting a healthier pond environment. Envii Filter Feed won't actively clear green or murky water but it will contribute to a healthier pond capable of preventing green water. If you have murky or green water we recommend using one of our green water treatments such as Pond Klear.

Yes. Although Envii Filter Feed is most effective in ponds with filtration systems, it is still very effective in those without. Simply dissolve the tablet in a bucket of water and pour directly in to the pond.

Similarly to green water, it won't actively target algae but it will produce a healthier pond and remove the algaes food source. If you have an algae or blanket weed problem, we recommend looking at our blanket weed treatments.

It's not essential to turn the UV light off as Filter Feed contains millions of beneficial bacteria.

Whilst this can be used all year round, it is most effective when water temperatures are above 4°C.

Hi what products do you need on starting up a new pond please Kind Regards, Cheryl: Hi Cheryl, If you're filling up your pond with tap water, then you will need a dechlorinator such as Chlorine Klear. This removes chlorine and chloramines from the water, making it safe for fish. We then recommend adding some beneficial bacteria such as Filter Feed. This improves water clarity and reduces organic waste, promoting a healthier pond environment. It is important to monitor the water parameters including the pH, KH, GH, Nitrites and Nitrates. We recommend using our Pond Test Strips to check these key parameters and ensure all readings are safe and healthy. Pond Equaliser will balance these parameters and buffer them for up to 4 months, to keep the fish and pond water healthy. To maintain healthy water, we recommend regular beneficial bacterial treatments alongside keeping the pond well oxygenated. Aquatic plants offer shade, compete with algae, remove harmful nitrogen and give back useful oxygen into the pond.
